Week 23, 2026 – Soil removal begins

2–3 June 2026

Piling is complete. The excavator is clearing soil from between the foundation piles. Cables and drainage pipes are exposed in the open pit.

A day later the pit is noticeably deeper. The JCB has worked across the full footprint; a worker is visible in the pit below.
