Week 16, 2026 – Drilling rig arrives, work begins
13–19 April 2026
First real activity on site. A drilling rig appeared mid-week alongside a row of bigbags — likely bentonite or spoil from the borings. A heavy truck parked up on the bare sand a few days later. By the end of the week the Kwakkenbos signage along the access road was fully in place. The morning noise from the rig is something else.
